i have seen some Sparrows in gurgon mostly in winters morning ...group of 5-10 almost for the one regular month of january 2012.....now recently i can see 2 or 3 less in numbers but still they are here....

Up until 15 years ago I would see them everyday visiting our home, but now after a lots of construction work in this ancient residential area they have disappeared. We are to be blamed for the type of houses that are being constructed with no proper ventilation open area with trees and plants around.
I was really happy to see this pair of sparrow that were going around on the last remaining open area which became a dumpyard near our house.

Almost during that time of year, sparrows used to come everyday and standby on the cloth wire for at least some time, if not disturbed. But, rather now, it is not at all to be seen. Recently one came in but after that never saw one.

Earlier lot many sparrows were there in the area. One of the wall adjacent to my house was full of sparrow`s nests, but as the construction went on the habitat got vanished. Still few nests are there. They are very amazing creature, in my childhood, we used to run for them to catch. Whenever found their young ones out of their nest, we used put back them inside. I am lucky that still i can hear the melody of these lovely birds........
