in front from our houses ,we used to have wild trees and marshy land..and few large tress around.those times ,there were lots of Sparrows around.chirping always.those were our childhood memories.normal thing for me ever morning getting up and listening them.never thought that one day that sound will be rare. Do let me know if I can help to save them.
We need them for our nature's balance and my future generation.

I was studying there and the number of sparrows were seen here but i noticed one thing THEY SEEMED ILL OR WEREN'T HEALTHY MUCH, mostly it was summers so they came for water, but really didn't seem good or beautiful which they usually are.

we used to keep a water pot and some seeds for birds on the terrace , so birds like pigeon crow and sparrows visited.
also the birds used to sit on cloth drying wires on terrace.
very very often they used to sit on the antenna's used for doordarshan channel.

Actually, i have grown up here, but as soon i became an adult, and little aware of animals, the sparrows count kept on decreasing, I still remember in my childhood they were seen alot but now it has really vanished here, i guess it's been a long time since i saw them. BUT I WOULD LIKE TO MENTION SOMETHING I'VE HEARD THEY HAVE STARTED EATING SPARROWS TOO, I DON'T KNOW WHERE IT EXACTLY STARTED FROM BUT IT CAME TO ME.

I was watching house sparrows since I was a child. My child was born in 2006. In the period from 2006 to 2009 I used to see a lot of house sparrows. But suddenly with the start of year 2010 the 3 mobile towers were installed in our locality and within two months of installation of these towers, they just disappared and I can't find anyone for an area in the radius of even 10 km from my house. I have a hobby of taking photographs and I am not been able to click a photo of many a birds which I used to gaze.
