Well, not many stories of now but when we were kids, our maternal grandmother used to catch them from the pillar porches, would used to paint their bellies and release them. That was a childhood game but those high number of nests and birds are no more visible now.Even my township has lost the great number of sparrows it used to have. In towns their chirps has reduced dramatically. I have been in Delhi as well where I used to see them in Uttam Nagar area till 2007

I grew up in krishan nagar, satna, and am a birds lover. In my house there where many nest and i loved hearing them.they made morning alive with their voice. But now the things have changed There are no nest now very hardly the birds are seen.and I miss all childhood stuffs.. please do something or guide me through.

ever since we shifted to our new house which is about 1 km away from that area , in these 8 year i just saw two sparrows once. Suddenly they have disappeared . I miss these small little creatures.

When I water my plants in the window..I have seen them coming frequently. And now in Summers i see them in Stairs near the box of cable wires.
