On14 April this place was vited and archeological sites seen , spread over vill. These sites are interspersed with human habitation.
It has good birdlife and sparrows were also seen.
About 150/200 nos in varying size of flocks seen.
In past nests were recorded in Temple / Buis stand areas

On 15 April 2011, we travelled through the village, and noticed good number of sparrows perched on electricity wires , rooftops, houses.
They were in flocks of 10/20 and overall more than 150 in numbers

Gariaband town has reasonably good sparrow population.
There was a thunder with hailstorm in Gariaband & surroundings.
It caused death of many birds including sparrows, as per news appearing in local dailies

Nandanvan Zoo, Vill Atari, Raipur Raipur Chhattisgarh
In Nandanvan Zoo many birds roost and nest, it has good birdlife.
Sparrows were seen , more than 250/300 nos congregating to roost on trees within the zoo.
Two active nests in birds cage roof were also seen

Sparrows had built 3 nests in my residence, on 3 April 2011 mating was observed.
A male mounted 14 times on female and mated, out of these mountings 3 were unsuccessful and missed .In this duration female emitted low chirps.
