In andhrapradesh most of the people hunt sparrows for their meat and people sell used to sell openly before 4 years as the years passed on till today its population gradually decreased so i request the government of india to take appropriate measures to stop hunting of these birds and please jobs in the forest department to only nature lovers who have knowledge to work with the wildlife in this way we can bring up the population of all the endangered species in india.

there was a time when i was used to wake up with the sound of the chiropping....but now it gone...
i rarely see any these days....am really worried about wat happened to those little creatures....i love to see them....but now its all gone...

Well when i was a kid there used to many of them. I lived in old traditional hyderabadi big house. So there were tons of sparrows. but in past decade they all seemed to vanished. I hardly see one or two in a month now. it is indeed very sad.
