i stay in Gurgaon, Haryana, India which is a urban area. It has become difficult to see a single house sparrow. but it was surprising to see them in the basement of ambience mall gurgaon in the above stated time period. they had their nests also there. i feel probably they feel safe inside a place like basement where there is little disturbance, less heat, less pollution. happy to know bout this project.

I still live in a society and has a water pot outside my house on 1st floor. Couple of Sparrows come daily to drink water from the pot. Also have seen a group of 8-10 sparrows feeding themselves in my building and they come daily in the morning between 9-12

What i miss the most about these sparrows are their early morning chirping to which i remember waking up too and drinking my milk as a child. The only sounds i hear now are that of an Occasional Crow and Dog barking some where.

i was born in 1977 and brought up in the mentioned address. i used to find many sparrows earlier. but from the past 5 yrs i am not seeing many. i am very upset for what ever is happening. I am very happy to see someone doing this to save these cute little birds. i even heard that some people catch them and eat them. we have to hang them....
