I did watched house sparrows years ago in and around my house, as I have been living in this locality nearly 30 years. My house is small, however I have grown mango, coconut trees around, attracting birds especially sparrows in plenty those days and we use to feed them with grains. Still I have my trees but the sparrows are missing. Its really sad.

Typically, the nests were made in the small holes in the wall and in-between spaces in the apartment. The area mentioned falls right next to Hussainsagar, a large lake in the middle of the city. Starting February 2012, the number of sparrows was kinda low compared with the same period last year. They feed off food my Mom leaves outside for them. And they make a lot of noise if they do not find the food where they usually feed. Glad, they are still around. I am sure the number increases as summer progresses.

We keep BAJRA and water in separate bowls in our home for the sparrows. Sparrows and Pegions come and eat BAJRA and drink water everyday. Sparrows are looking for a nest. Please inform me if you can provide the nests or where they are available. We would like to hang them in my home.

I use to see the sparrows daily from my childhood.
They had built their nest in our well and we have some trees and plants in our house where it use to take rest.
Most of the time the small sparrows use to fell into the water while they try to widen their wings with the thought of flying. If we see that, will try to escape it from that and most of the time it will survive and few incidents happened as it died. Now a days am seeing the sparrows but not any eggs or the smaller one which use to fell into water.Most probably the sparrows learnt from their mistake of hatching inside the well or else the most dangerous thing of the sparrows are not laying eggs?
