I see these Sparrows daily in the morning. Even I weekends I see them the whole day. I love the sounds it make. I want to help the population grow in some way or the other. But don't know how to. I can't see them disappear from this locality or for that matter from our lives.

Used to see a lot of them when I was growing up but seemed to have dissapeared. But after I moved to my new residence 6 months was surprised to see them on a daily basis. They come to my house every day and drink on the water that I pour on my plants. I have a mango bonsai where they perch on and peck on its trunk.

Bharathi - Benagaluru International Airport Bangalore International Airport, Kingfisher Lounge Bangalore Karnataka

Yes. Im talking about house sparrows which I see wheneever I tavel from Bengaluru international airport at the Kingfisher lunge. It could be anywherelese also but I visist the Lounge and find the birds there. what is unusual is they are seen throughout the day, be it noon. moninr or late night.
Also a friend of mine in Bengaluru has a small tree which is completely taken over by sparrows and she feeds them too on a regular basis. she was featured in the local english newspaper for the presence of so many sparrows in one small bush.
I live inAbu Dhabi and visitors sometimes find these birds here and there and they joke that they would like to take some back to India, particularly Bangalore, as they have become extinct there
