kr market, place by the side of masjid where they sell soppu whole sale Old Tharagupet, Ranasinghpete Bangalore Karnataka
Best part about these sparrows in the city market in the area where they sell soppu whole sale is, they are not afraid of the huge crowd that always mills around. They will be chirping about their business as usual.

Mylapore Nadu Street Mylapore Chennai Tamil Nadu
I lived in Mylapore for a couple of years. The house that we lived in was a street house type. There was a service area attached that was open to sky. These lovely birds visited chirping at particular times of the day and fed on the grains and pulses my mum gave. They flap their wings with remarkable speed and beautiful to watch them fly here and there. I did see these birds in several places after i moved out of Mylapore too. the last few birds I saw was at Adyar in 2005. After that they seem to be none. These birds are nature's most beautiful creations. One cant digest them disappearing. They deserve a place in this world as much as we do !!

Chrch on East and GoyalShinde Park on West. Bopodi Pune Maharashtra
I get up every morning on hearing the chirping of birds.
Not only sparrows, the usual crows, pigeons, and rare birds,
migrating birds too. There was greenery all round, all nature grown. One side of Bhau Patil road is Botanical garden
and Agricultural College on the West of our Goual Shinde Park,C building. Another side of Bhau Patil Road, is a vast Defence land with their godowns not frequently used by
Defence with trees all round and lawn in the middle...this is on East of Bhau Patil Road, where we live adjoining the Churche at Kundan Prerana. We offer grains to the birds
and water in a tub every day. When water is exchaused we can hear a different type of chirping or crowing calling our attention. When the fielt is set on fire to clear the bush, we can see the birds including sparrows crying in agony, flying helter skelter with fear, incapable of saving their nests, eggs inside and young ones in the nest
raising alram incapable of escaping. This is a frequent
occurance. Every morning and evening we love looking at the birds, mostly they are hidden but we hear their chirping. We can see the leaves moving and guess that birds are inside. After the fire, the open land poses a ghostly look like a burial ground with ashes all over. Even today one can see such a pathetic sight.. thogh greenery has come up afresh. We are worried everyday whether any day they can set the lawn and greenery on fire.

I am reporting here of the time period 2005-2009 when I saw sparrows rarely. I have lived at the same place since my 30 years. I remember before 15-20 years (before 1998) I used to see many sparrow in backyard of my house. My mother and me used to keep some little bowl of food for sparrow in the morning and with few minutes it was surrounded by sparrows. It was pleasant to see and hear them in the beautiful sunny morning. But now a days, It is very rare lucky day when I can see any sparrow!
In my opinion, it is because of air pollution, noise pollution and also lack of food as people are busy now a days and don't think of to keep little food for sparrow outside in backyard or on terrace. It can also be possible as sparrows do not have any space around houses to built nest or people remove it and also the number of tress are decreasing in all cities.
I am glad to share my view here and hope Ministry of Environment and Forests comes up with some plan to increase the number of sparrows as well as suitebale environment for them to survive.
Good day & Good luck
