Sparrows were very abundant 10/12 years back in whole of the town, but now their population is declined badly in certain pockets of town.

This place is also having rice mills, where the sparrows can be seen in small flocks, but else where they are very occassional. Many big power plants are comung up in this belt , which would be a matter of concern in time to come
