2 sparrows are observed just near the gate of my house.

Deepali Nandwaji - I live in Bhoomi Park, a large residential colony of over six to eight buildings Mumbai Suburban Maharashtra

I remember two sparrows used to come to my house every morning, and sit at the window sill for several hours. These wonderful birds often woke me up with their singing. However, they have stopped coming over the past three months. I do sight some of them in the garden below once in a while.

Devendra Mewari - Sector-7 , Dwarka Sector 7 Dwarka, Palam New Delhi Delhi

The pair of sparrows, Gaura-Gauri, left their nest on 30 April 2012. Before leaving the nest, they taught lesions of flight to their newly raised chicks by balancing and flapping the wings in the air. Probably two chicks took their first flight on 28th, another two on 29th and the fifth one on 30th April. A new pair, Chida & Chidi, surveyed the area same day and started building their nest on top of the cardboard boxes. After completing the nest, laid eggs, raised the brood and we heard faint chirping of the new born babies on 25 th may. Since then their chirping call notes have become quite louder. And, we are afraid, they may take their first flight any day & say goodbye to us!

Deben Ghosh - The Summit, a residential block of apartments DLF City V, Sector 54 Gurgaon Haryana

A pair of sparrows have built a nest under an A/c unit fixed on my apartment balcony. This is the second season I am seeing them, and they are recognisable, and obviously a couple! This season they have bred twice, the first had 4 young ones, the second has two. The pair of sparrows are quite used to our presence on the balcony, and dont seem at all scared. Watching them has been a great pleasure. Needless to say, the AC has remained unused to avoid harming the birds.

Chitrangada Sharan - SELF FINANCING FLATS, SUKHDEV VIHAR, NEW DELHI Sukhdev Vihar, Okhla New Delhi Delhi

I do not see any sparrows here now. Rather there are pigeons, which can be seen.
