Dt ; 21 May 93 ;H Sparrow observed driving away a Roseringed parakeet .Later in day , A Skylark was in act of aerial display, and was disturbed in between , female joined and chased it away.
Dt ; 26 May 93; Mating observed, female incited the male for the act, with drooping shivering wings & calling all the time.
Dt 28 May 93 & 06 June 93& 02 July ;A female was observed carrying dry grass straw .
Dt 25 June 93 ; Female indulged in aerial capture of winged insects.
Dt07 July 93; 8/10 sparrows indulged in aerial capture of insects, interesting was that whenever any of them could capture one , others immediately dashed and seized the prey.

Only suggestions to human beings is live & please let other living being to live. Like us they also got life from God & no-one has the authority to snatch the same except God.
As we have also right to live, others also have.
Now it is the right time to get aware & create awareness to all humans not only about sparrow's but also to other living beings.
With help of NGO's & also with support of Govt. we can create difference, also we can implement lesson on the above at school, college, working level also.
Lastly I request every one to step on to field to help NGO's & Govt. on their work & not by only sending replies & mails. BEST OF LUCK TO EVERY ONE WHO INITIATED THIS PROGRAMME.

this story is from a different time period:
I have seen sparrows since my childhood. my parental home is in old delhi and it still is. there was a small hole in the street wall infront of our courtyard and as far as I can remember it was always inhabited by sparrows. The hole was high and it was beyond my reach but I could see the birds flying in and out of it and occassionally hear the cries of the babies. Some unfortunate incidents are there when the birds got hit with our ceiling fan and died.
Our kitchen was in the courtyard and my dadi or mother would keep roti for them. whenever I tried to feed the birds rice my dadi would tell me not to do so cause this would disrupt the egg formation inside the female. I never listened, all I wanted was that the birds should not be hungry and so let them eat rice(which they definitely relished).
I now live in rohini,new delhi and my relationship with these birds has'nt changed. There are abt 5-6 birds coming to my terrace everyday, for bajra and water.
