Sparrows use to nest in the small spaces of our house shelters( Asbestores Sheets) and also inside the walls of our well. they often used to start tweeting early in the morning n wake us up and were always out till 6-7 in the evening.
They used to enter us house when our mom used to clean her rice and wheat in the Varanda of our house, they used to come inside sit on the fan n then move out, they had no fear of us.., they used to fight against each others , they used to lay eggs and we used to even hear those tweets , sometimes it happens that the kids used to fall out from the nest on the floor and die else fall inside the well n die.
After 4PM , they used to be on the trees on the street sides and fight and tweet . there voice was heard so loud.
Now we miss the same. my mom misses those things there are hardly seen sparrows in that place recently and also we have moved to a different locality were we have not seen a single sparrow from past 6 yrs

I am living here from past 12 years.6-7 years ago i used to see many sparrows building their nests inside my friend's house.But we are not seeing those birds today...there has been a large difference in their number for only 6 years of time

we have terrace garden and bird bath on third floor with lot of grass and other vegetable plants,i have placed a nest but sparrows never nested there i have tried all ideas but in vain,but for today sparrows population are gradually increas ing day by day which is very good sign

I am born and brought up in Bangalore, I love to watch birds from my childhood, obviously Sparrows which were common which we could see, I use to give food attract towards my residence. But now, it is rare to see this small bird.
