deepika - college of agriculture Pantnagar Uttarakhand

i use to go for bird watching early morning almost everyday during my stay at pantnagar. i went to the foothills also in uttarakhand which is the best place for a bird watcher. i use to see a lot of birds their from large hornbills to small prenia, but to watch a sparrow was a difficult task. i remember during 1995 to 98 i was in pithoragarh (uk)where i use to watch these sparrows all over the place. they built their nest in shops, houses and were seen everywhere, but now they are difficult to spot. on january 2009, i went to lohaghat which is a small hill town of uk for my survey work, their i saw a lot of sparrows who have built their nest inside houses, so it feel great to watch that. their are some places in the uttarakhand state where u can still find your lovely house mate (sparrow).
