We once had a sparrow building its nest in our house. One night the nest fell and the next morning we saw that only a fledgling had survived. We nursed it for some time and then gave it to a nearby animal rescue centre.

Some grain and a small container full of water in the balcony goes a long way in observation of sparrows :)

I love sparrow very much since my childhood, they are roaming near about my kitchen & drawing room, balcony but very sad to say that now they are limited to outside houses.

Its heartening to see a small group of sparrows when we take short walks within the campus after lunch on working days. They frequent the trees lining the campus walls, and prefer the cool shady areas near under-construction blocks. I have seen them generally foraging among the flower beds, grass and also the nearby concrete surfaces. I am yet to spot their nesting areas.
