They used to enter houses and fly around in the corridor in my house. They used to enter the house mostly during the afternoons. Many sparrows made nests behind main name plates of the building on the ground floor.

there is a large group of sparrows that lives on a tree right outside this metro station. they can be seen through the day but they are very active in the evening.

In several patches, especially near dhabbas and local eateries the sparrows would be seen in a large number. I was working on a documentary film in dewas and would spot sparrows on a regular basis.

I visited nahargarh and jal mahal in jaipur where i saw some sparrows. They are not in great numbers, but from my observations sparrows shifted to less denser area, ie at the outskirts of the town where they can find ample water.

It was in Feb 2010 when I shifted to my new house in above mentioned location. I rarely saw sparrow there and since I was so used to seeing birds at my hometown, I felt sad about it. But then, I started keeping water and food for birds and now over 2 years time, almost 25 birds visit me daily.There are of about 9 sparrows, 6 crows, 4 Common Mynas, 4 Rock Pigeons and 2 Red Vented Bulbuls. One thing for sure, this area has least no. of sparrows and maximum Rock Pigeons
I would be really happy if I could do something to save sparrows!
