While sparrows used to be very common in 2009 (when I moved to the campus), especially near the market and some residences near the KV school, they had all but disappeared in 2010 and 2011. They seem to have returned in good numbers in 2012 though, and I see them fairly frequently all around the campus, including the hillside area that I live in.

There are Bougenvillae Plants grown in a peculiar Umbrella shape in our Office premises at National Stock Exchange, Bandra(E) which is very conducive for Sparrow population growth. There are so many sparrows chirping and coming out-going in, in these plants which is a very good picture to see!
