A small vill on way to Amarkantak.
At bus stand , always sparrows are seen about 40/50 nos.
They nest in th thatched /tiled roof of houses here.

Amarkantak, pilgrimage place, Amarkantak Madhya Pradesh
Amarkantak is a pilgrim place , origin of rivers Narbada, Son.situated at an elevation of more than 3000 feet, and surrounded by Sal forest.
In market, temple, and other areas sparrows are regularly seen, though in small flocks.
During visit on 19 09 2009, overall more than 150 birds were seen

The FRH is located on the edge of residential area of vill.
Within FRH compound and in vill about 80 to 100 ssparrows were seen during stay from 6 to 9 June 2009.
There did not seem to be any substaintial difference in [population , when compared to past visits.

A small village located at the entry barrier of Achanakmar WLS, WHERE 20/25 sparrows are always seen.
During stay from 6 to 9 June 2009 frequently this place was visited and every time the sparrows were seen though the nests were not seen
