Beohari town in Shahdol distt.
Dt ; 12 Oct 2004 & 15 Oct 2004.
1. Town was traversed through for a distance of more than one Km, market area, bus stans ans residential areas wer covered.
2.A Dabha , about a kms on Shahdol road was also visited.
3. In town & Dhaba area sparrows more than 70/80 were seen.
4. An old nest was located in Electricity office.
5, This place has been visited many times in past , when sparrows were in abundance, now they appear to have reduced in numbers.

1. While driving through the town saw about 50 sparrows in market & bus stand area.
2. Compared to many previous visits , it appeared that sparrow population has gone down.

Dt ; 12 & 16 Oct 2004.
1.Moved in differnt part of town.
2. In most of the parts saw sparrows, scattered and in flocks.
3.Total about 100 sparrows each day.
4.Have visited this place many times in past and sparrows wer observed , in good numbers.
5. Nesing was common , but this time no nest could be seen

1.In evening, two female sparrows observed perched on closeby wall, a male arrived , started display by drooping wings & calls.Females reaction was to see and approach it, callingall the time.They immediately started attacking with bills,male was so adament that it remained and continued display more aggressively. soon the female descended to ground, male still on wall and displaying , raising its head.
2. Two Asian pied Starlings arrived and were promptly chased and driven away.
Dt 05 Feb 2006.
1.A male occupied a space on wall and drove away any other intruding males, it kept on displaying to nearby females.
Ultimately after about 30 minutes it mated with one of the females.
Dt 6 & 7 Feb 2006.
1. Both days two different females were observed carrying nesting materials in different directions.
Dt 11 Feb 2006.
1.Pair observed in act of copulation, male mounted thrice successfully.
2.Another male observed carrying nesting material.
Dt 13 Feb 2006.
1.Ten birds present on Drumstick tree, competeting for tender leaves & flowers for nectar.
2. A male attempted to mount several times on a reluctant female, finally no act.

1, Mating observed.

1.A male attempted mating with two different female at time interval of 5/6 minutes, both females reluctant.

2. A Black Kite arrived in locality, seen by Asian Pied Sarlings , which raised alarm.amongst the birds present and got alerted ,were 8/10 sparrows.

1. A blyths Reed Warbler entered our residential garden, and perched on an ornamental plant. soon the sparrows oresent here saw and drove it out of compound, with associated alarm calls.
2. Sparrows chased away two wandering Rock Pigeons, to considerable distance.
