i saw more then 50 of sparrows in my house garden at morning and evening during 2003 to 2009.
but now i see just 10 to 15.
my house is surrounded by cultivate grounds. but now all the lands are turn to buildings and real estates.
so, i think sparrows are migrate to other places for food and good place of nest.

I live in an apartment at Srinagar Colony in Hyderabad. A bunch of sparrows have built a nest, nestled amidst the water pipes in the kitchen balcony. They come there in the morning and create a musical ruckus, calling out to one another constantly, for an hour or so. After which I do not hear anything till the next morning. I have a couple of pots on the ledge and they tend to eat all the tender leaves. Previously they would fly off, even if I entered the kitchen but now they hang around till the reach the balcony and then flutter away.
There is water for them and soon I will start keeping some jowar seeds which we feed the pigeons with, so that they will stop eating the tender leaves off the pots.

the nest was above the cafeteria after the security check in counters on the left, opposite gate 28. Also saw one chick with mother and father sparrow flying from and to the nest area. Also saw sparrows at the Bangalore international airport about two days back.

The entry to the zoo has lot of peacock flowers trees and one can see sparrows chirping around these flowers in morning and in early evenings, one can also see sparrows in the core zoo area.

actually its a long break of about year, i observed sparrow couple in front of my house, i was happy to see them, and observed they were eating the grain i have already thrown for pigeons, till date i m uneble to locate their nest but hope it might b near by......
