I live close by and pass this section very often and a few bushes on that particular road are abuzz with the chirping of sparrows, compelling me to stand and see them flitting around inside the bushes and around. Unfortunately, a few of those bushes have been taken off for road widening already.

recently while having a discussion with a senior volunteer at my NGO we started talking about birds as we can see pigeons outside the window. she then told that in mumbai sparrow was on the verge of extinction so people tried hard to save them. she also has a artificial nest at her home but due to frequent human intervention the birds have yet not started using it.

Just Spend Rs 25 to procure a small mud house, covered from Top and hang it from any place of your house where there are some trees and plants, but away from reach of cats etc., feed some grains near by every day.Sparrows will rest and nest there. We can live lovely life with great old friends.....

In our area , due to presence of more lights and active roads even at late nights, we were surprised to see birds, sply sparrows being actively searching for foods.
They were seen more active during night times around 1am making sounds, flying busily in search of foods. we use to watch this from our window.
These incidents clearly shoe, change in our life style have caused a huge effect on birds life.
