Sharp decline in numbers but still survived, 2-3 nest near my house but chicks are often killed by crow/shikra. We in our Residential colony used to feed all birds daily but I specially provide food for sparrow/silverbill, robin, munia etc. generally 'bajra', 'kang','kanki'etc. Sparrow are mainly like to feed on our food which left out by us. I believe that the modern life style in urban area is not supporting for house sparrow that`s why it growth is reduced/stop.
