After reading about "where have the sparrows gone ?" I decided to go all out and find them ! I used to spot them very irregularly on the terrace. Then I got a bird feeder outside my daughters' bedroom window and filled it up with sparrow food (grains) and I found that they started coming. At times I find 8-10 , sometimes lesser numbers. They come and sit , chirp , fight . They are together as far as other birds are concerned and do not allow other species .I keep water and have also made a mud bath for them on my terrace.They give us a lot of joy and if they dont come some day , we feel uneasy.

I visited Indroda Nature Park today, and on several locations in the park we could see House Sparrows chirping and flying around.

i just only want to say to you all that if we want to reduce the soil pollution and air pollution by the pesticides and to reduce the pesticide concentrations which is constantly increasing in human bodies, and in developing babies ( to reduce inborn errors) in that day. we must have to protect the insectivorous birds like sparrow. because these birds are the only solution provide by our mother nature to fight with those insects. . .
i am saying that because these birds are still my companions in my house.and i thankful to god that these birds are with my family since today.
