Just two months back I had removed a electricity concealed wiring box, a small round cover, of 2 inches by 2 inches - because I had some water seepage problems from our top flat. In a few minutes, I had a sparrow visit this hole and within a few minutes another sparrow came in.
This is my kitchen ceiling. Plus with the water seeping into this, the last thing I wanted was these sparrows building a nest inside my kitchen.
So I shooed them off. They came in once or twice, but after that they have not come in.
I felt bad, but I had no other option.

Dear Friends,If you intend to visit to this place one would feel that the sparrows has not vanished from bangalore,Happened to see some of the nests provided by the local population which are made of card board boxes which i found to be innovative and found to be effectieve and also i happened to see some nests were active and well adapted.There were also a good amount of food supply and with so much of noise around the birds seemed well settled and the resident shop keepers have protected them without harming. THis is a true case of live and let live and this was a case of learning for me.The bird nest which were of Bamboos which were distributed by BCIL there is lesson for them to learn if they visit this place
