In residential area 30/40 sparrows recorded , also 4 nests could be seen in road side houses .
Around tanks scattered sparrows in one or two not more than 6/8 seen.

In rest house campus and adjacent locality sparrows about 20/25 nos recorded, also a active nest in back varendah of the rest house.

In quest of roosting site of Asian Openbills, vill Achanakpur was visited on 01 Jan 2007, very few sparrows about less than 10 could be recorded , even in residential areas.

During stay at Surhi FRH from 24 to 27 Dec 2006, visit was paid to Khuriya reservior on 26 Th,
In residential area about 20-25 sparrows seen and also an old nest in a shop.

On 09 Dec 2006, fire was set in the debris, in backyard , many species like House sparrows- about 80/90, Asian Pied Starling-20,Indian Robin - a pair, Oriental Magpie Robin - male, Common Myna -6 and Laughing doves -4 , collected on near by small trees,all in quest to capture the insects emerging , due to disturbance caused by fire.
Of all these, sparrows & Magpie Robin were the first to start proceedings AND captured insects for about 5 minutes then left the place.
