My father was running a school. It was an open building. And we also lived in that building. the class rooms had lots of windows and house sparrows used to make their nest on the fan. Whenever the came to their nests one or two died by hitting with the blade of the fan and at that i felt very bad many time i tried to save them but failed.Since that time i am felling that one day thy will be finished.

In good old days (around 25 years back) we used to keep water, grains (Thinai) for the sparrows in the house. hanging mud pots to built nests etc. We love the sparrows very much.

Early in the morning, these chirpy birds make a lot of noise and wake us up. They come out in groups and for a short while, perch themselves at the edges. Then take off and fly away to distant places. Suddenly there will be less chirping. After a while loud chirping continues. Within half-an-hour, most of them gone and no chirping is heard. Only to be seen and heard at dusk hours.
