Sparrows have raised 2 chicks in a nest in main switch box of our residence.
On 29 Nov 2006, both of them left the nest .
One was seen underneath a car . parked in compound, where it stayed for the night, next morning we provided boiled rice to it, it fed for a while.
Next day it was on the roof top and female was feeding .
Same day the other chick , much larger in size and with better developed plummage was seen on varendah grill, it performed more hops rather than flight.

On 17 Dec 2007, about 150 sparrows recorded congregating to a small tree by the side of busyf main road of Shankernagar.
Even today after lapse of about 5 yrs about 100-120 sparrows roost on the same tree, even though the traffic on the road and human activities have multified considerably, as observed by all of us.
