my father use to feed the house sparrow with seeds in our balcony and their were like 15 to 20 sparrows everyday. but recently like a month a ago a cat hunted 2 sparrows which we couldn't stop and from that incident their were no sparrows seen in my balcony

On my street we have fair amount of trees as compared to other residential areas/buildings in new panvel !
I do get to hear a constant chirping of sparrows through the day,but haven't seen much nests around . We do our bit by putting out water for birds around,but I do feel people aren't aware enough about the decreasing number of house sparrows !
