The sparrow pair nests regularly at my residence. They have been accustomed to my family members and the surrounding habitat.However last few years have marked the decline in the number of sparrows chirping early morning. The intense with which we used to hear the chirping sound of sparrows has declined.

Daily long-tailed sparrows, and house sparrows visit this area in the evenings and they happily accept my offer of rice and also take water from the pail I keep for them always full sometimes, they start screeching, as if calling me ,whenever I am late by a few miniutes---they keep waiting till I walk around, talk to thm and after sunset they fly away.
this is a daily ritual ,since I am keen to feed them in the evenings along with a pail of water to quench their thirst
