I saw sparrows in front of a company called Prayas Engineering , Located in Savli Industrial Area , 24 , G.I.D.C , Manjusar , Savli , Vadodara.
There were Quite a few number of sparrows on the tree & few were flying around.

Slim and active women are always compared to the sparrow commonly known here as chittu.
They pick a grain or seed or a cooked rice and fly past away probably to feed the chick.

I live in a old residential colony which spread wings in past seven years. Some highrises came into existence. Earlier 2005 and beyond I used to spot many sparrows cooing next to a little tree, a Tagar (a kind of white flower) tree. Since 2005, their presence dwindled. Now I don't see a single sparrow. A few years back, I spotted two came flying and sat for a while on the roof of the house next to us. They left as soon as they came.

Just see 4or5sparrows pecking at food articles thrown by tourist especially during my daily evening walks.I love to see this tiny birds.there were few mynas,and crows nearby trees.

The area i live in had few trees when we came in 1997. we had planted a lot of trees with help of local civic bodies. there are lot of crows, small falcon like birds, pigeons, squirrels but no sparrows. there are no road side bushes and none inside apartments. now a days even pigeons are also missing, only crows are there.
