I grew up with sparrows around us; nesting in the ventilators in the house. We had a number of small trees/ bushes, a couple of large trees. Our area had a number of trees and open/ grassy soil, so they could go their meals easily. I observed sparrows can not go very long distances to fetch foods, doesn't fit their way of life. Also, there are fear of natural predators, like crows or larger birds. So source of good food must be nearby for their sustenance. Unfortunately, there are little number of trees left here nowadays and no more grass. Earth is either covered by concrete or garbages, soil is heavily contaminated with plastics and rotting foodstuffs, etc. Very hard to live a sparrows life, feeling deeply sorry about them.

my house is a two story building and at this time about 5 to 8 nests are in it and we don't broke sparrows nest. They keep howering all around my house and in my room. Sometimes we see their eggs fall down also.
one thing is unusual they are more smart than what we think. i analyzed that they got frightened by young people or children but not from my mother who don't harm them, i have seen 4,5 sparrow sitting near to my mother but it does not come that much near to me.
One thing also sparrow's whose nests are strong and soft in inside their the possibility of chicks is more.
so if they does not get the appropriate material then its very difficult to hatch and in these nest eggs fell down without hatching

I have been to this locality since last 3 years..truly dont remember if i have seen a lil bird more than 20 times...in whole 3 years...feel sad and Bad..and remember my old days...we should all come forward to help them survive.
