When I was in school there were lot of sparrows around, but as the time passed they are they disappeared from our houses the main reason I see is telephone towers because first we use to live in a house which was an the last corner the lane and when we were in home we hardly use to get telephone signal strength and in that house I use to see some sparrows with one or two nests they also use to fly inside our house in search of food as they don't find any insects on road and they hardly find any soil, but later when we moved to a different house which was on a main road and surrounded with lots of towers and hell lot of pollution and traffic, in this new house I absorbed that sparrows have disappeared and now I hardly see any sparrows around. After some years I thought seeing sparrows and went to my old house but there as well I hardly see one or two sparrows coz new cellphone towers were built and lot of sparrows died.

I got married and came to live in this house with a small backyard garden 22 years ago. That was in 1990, I remember vividly sparrrows in the garden aplenty. They used to make nests in the rolled up bamboo screens, window niches especially ventilators and that seemed like a pain as they had to be cleared regularly. About 5 years ago I remember conversing with my ma in law that sparrows seem extinct now and are not seen at all and we reminisced about the pains of house nests that we had to remove especially start of summer. This summer 2012 a few says ago I noticed 2 sparrows in the garden after a long time and I felt relieved that they are not gone forever

when i was a kid i used to see more house sparrows in my steets, daily huge number of sparrows are having their foods in our streets i used to run in the middle of that sparrow crowd. its awesome experience. but now a days am not seeing that kind of scenes.. really am missing it. am thinking that we are near to hell.. i want to bring back our house sparrows.

In one shelf of our hall there was a just born sparrow. We were just kids wanted to touch them but parents did not allow saying that if we touch baby sparrow then mother sparrow would not like it and kill them. I don't remember what happened after that. But we all three were very excited to have a sparrow in our house.
One more incident what we saw was that an eagle was hunting a sparrow and that sparrow hide on a side wedge on the stair case open to sky. We noted that and wanted to rescue the sparrow from eagle but sparrow was already so frightened that our rescue effort was mistaken to be otherwise and it flew away. Maybe the eagle which was still hovering on our house has taken it away after that. Even now while conveying this story I feel very bad about that incident. I love sparrow very much.
Currently I am in Little Rock, Ar, USA. Arkansas is a natural state and everyday we find lot of sparrow's here chirping around the bushes near our appartment. It reminds me of my good olden days when we used to study while hearing those melodious voice of these lovely birds.
I wish if I could contribute in anyway to get these amazing birds back in our colonies to hear back those refreshing noise(voice), I would love to do be a part of it.
