This was the time when I was small, I remember that I used to get up with the sounds of the chirping of Sparrows only, usually those who woke up early were able to listen to the sweet music of Sparrows everyday, they were seen in good number,nests were also easily seen then at that time none of us had ever imagined that one day these birds would be on a level to extinct.

I used to study at Mukherjee Nagar and had noticed several birds including House Sparrows but they are nowhere nowadays.

My friend visited Amritsar and I had told her to notice House Sparrows, see if they were in a big number or small. What all came to my surprise is that there were only 1-2 House Sparrows that she saw near her guest house. She could not saw them at several market places, gardens even and this is just about 3 days back.
