Last 7yr. ago in my house their was sparrow nest in my house electric dp board but i dont know how they gone it happens suddenly in 2-3 days there were some child sprrows but they were not there! and now in our market their is one shop there is sparrow nest i daily see it around 8-9 am they comes outside the nest!

There is a fair number of House Sparrows in SML P.G. College Campus where i work, as well as in the surrounding area that includes Parks and Residential Colonies.
There is continuous nesting of Sparrows in our college and they repeat the same place (ventilators, behind photo frames, shutter tops, godowns etc) for nesting with some new material for renovation.
I did not found them preferring trees or other plants much for nesting purpose.
many times i saw males fighting for making pair with the female. The females are observant of fight and they wait for the winner. But never seen juveniles.

Since 1989-1992 the population of sparrow as well as crow were sighted very rarely.Since 1998 It's population has increased to more than 200 of them and they have nesting in the residential building.Its astonishing to know that the population of sparrows is more in Kaiga in comparision with neighbouring cities.
