Almost a kid to aged human being can easily identify sparrow as it is always wondaring/living around us.Even a kid aged 4 monhs can too easily identify sparrow.I srongly believe that the existance of house sparrow around us itself reveals that the environment and climate is safer for human being and all the animal/creatures as well on this lovely planet.Each human being on this earth should strenghthen deadly efforts to save the sparrow by helping them for nesting and all their necessities.Aware all the neighbours about this drive.Let's save house sparrow to save ourselves and our planet.....

today i saw three birdies fed by the mother sparrow,running behind the mother to be fed, it was very funny when one of them asked another father sparrow to feed him but he did not and he pushed him with his beek instead. Number of sparrows are increasing near our sorroundings.Hope there will be plenty next year.

We were sitting in the busy Food Court in the domestic Departure Hall at Bangalore Airport, munching away peacefully, when suddenly there was a blur of movement - it was a gang of marauding sparrows! They are obviously used to the challenges of this environment, scooting along the floor and pulling bits of food out from under the tables, darting between people in a queue to attack some crumbs on the counter, and perching on chair backs looking for their next target! Since the whole area was enclosed and air-conditioned, I wondered where these little creatures lived - or did they get out through some air vent? It was a fascinating experience to see them adapting to the setting, completely unconcerned about the humans in the vicinity.

I have been observing house sparrows from my childhood. That time I was living in a nearby village. Every day there used to be very many birds in the vicinity with several nests.
In last few years the number was drastically reduced.
Last year I started feeding pigeon in the morning and then observed about 2 to 5 birds at least 3 days in a week. Though I do not have seasonal record but have spotted them these days.
