We are staying on Sinhgad Road Dhayri Area. Sparrows have made their home in our flat. It is near the window. We have kept unutilised pot made of mud in the window and 2-4 sparrows have made it their home. Every day we keep water, food for the birds. My morning starts with their sounds of unending chatting.

Water in a bowl and food is kept for the birds every morning around 7.30 am. If there is delay in placing the food they start reminding us by chirping loudly. If the stale water is there they just drink it.If the stale water is thrown out and fresh water kept, they take a dip in the water. The prefer brown bread to any other food items. The are sighted through out the day.

I have seen four roosting places of Sparrows in 1 sq km area. Near about 500-1000 birds were seen at each roosting place.
