We shifted to Accolade from Panchpakhadi (where sparrows were very common) in 2005. There were hardly any sparrows seen at that time. But these days it is heartening to see that the number of sparrows seem to have increased and we come across them more often and fairly regularly. I saw just one sparrow very recently, when I was there for a weekend break. There is a vacant plot of land right behind my house, with a few trees, and I saw one cute li'l sparrow perched comfortably and chirping away happily!
