They came in pairs to my balconey and kitchen window. There are holes on the retention wall where i have seen them go... possibly nests. I am not sure . 5-10 birds are always there in our building.
we live nxt to shipping corporation where there is lot of tree cover ... possibly the reason why i have seen sparrows. .... there are ;lots of other birds in this area.

Yeah, I remember these sparrows were a menace, reason being my house was recently painted and these little creatures did their droppings and whole of the walls looked untidy.
We had these jallis installed on the ventillations and in the gap of these these sparros use to build their nest. I use to see them al round the place making their nest etc.
Lately there has been a decrease in their number, don't know why.

Live opposite to a huge banyan tree and observe all frugiverous birds that come there..spend around 15-20 mins watching them everyday...howeveer have occassionally seen sparrows there and around the locality

This area was full of sparows, lots of nest in almost every houses and trees inside the IIT Kanpur campus and in the neighbouring village NANKARI also i saw in Barasirohi village. The area had a large population from 1971 to 2000, the time I lived in the IIT Kanpur campus. I was avid watcher/viewer/admirer of these birds.

Chakargaon residential quarters in Port Blair on way to carbynes cove Chakargaon, Nayagaon Port Blair Andaman and Nicobar Islands
i came in this area in year 2001 and since then till 2011 I found lots of sparrows in this area, they are nesting and producing.
