When i was about age of 9 or so, sparrows were very frequently seen..back then my house had a huge garden and sparrows, squirels were common. But nowadays i do find squirels near my place, but sparrows are really rare..even though i find very tiny birds which appears to be like a sparrow, but clearly they are not as the have a much longer beak. I miss them..

there are three large jamun tress in the society which are teeming with sparrows in the evening, 4-5 sparrows obeserved everyday in the gardens at the back of the society row houses. population though not large and getting smaller is stable to some extent.
