I see Sparrows regularly here and love to show them to my son .. as I go to drop him for his school bus everyday.

The house I lived was big. It had no ceiling fans. The roof was called 'Bombay terrace' with beams at regular intervals inside the building. The space between beams afforded suitable niche for sparrows to nest. Often, nests used to fall down, along with eggs and young chicks.
The sparrows were so numerous that they would settle in a row, one below the other on the cord of what we call 'yenai'(cradle made of long cloth) in which young children slept. My mother used to put me on duty to shoo away the sparrows (because they made such noise) when my baby brother was in the cradle.

i my house a sparrow nest is there, i love the cute small darlings, she come to my house, i use to swith off my fan immediately since they might hurt the sparrows, till they go i dont switch of the fan. i am so sad that the little sweet darlings are disappearing.... i hate human since they much concern about their own happiness. humans are so selfish, they killing sparrows with out knowing that..

Our house in Mugalur Mugalur Village Krishnagiri Tamil Nadu
After the irrigation of paddy field stopped for acute shortage of water, the sparrows became zero in our house. We were very much bothered because of this as their chirping noise was no more. From 4-5 years, we put rice on the floor and slowly sparrows started increasing. They increased in number and started making nest in the house. It is very nice to see them get up early morning by 6 and come out of its nest. It go out and visit the house once every couple of hours, eat those grains and again go out. By 5.30 or 6 in the evening, the will come from outside and go to its nest.
