my family members or i keep water[in earthen pot]and eatables,chapati,rice etc. then sparrows,crows, pigeons, mynas and squirrels come there turn by turn the whole day to eat and drink water.

The number of house sparrows has sharply declined in my area. I think radiation from cellphoe towers is the main reason for it.

my sister offers food like small atta balls, rice, etc twice a day in a regular place in our flower bed. so they come there every day. also they come early in morning make us feel that they are reminding us to keep the food on time.

We live in a fairly old building. Earlier, sparrows used to nest in the skylight. But the insatallation of airconditioners forced us to close down these old skylights. Same with many other buildings in my area.
We have a puja room in our flat with a large old fashioned window with grills. After my mother finishes her puja, a large group of sparrows enter the room to pick at the rice grains that are offered to the idols. While we see a large number of sparrows at this point of time, there has been a def decline in the number of birds seen in the neighborhood.
