On 07 Oct 2008, Aashishnagar area was visited . enroute & locally more than 150/200 birds were seen, Flocks of 30/40 in evening going to roosting places.

More than 100/120 sparrows in scattered flocks were seen.
An old nest , abondaned was located in our house.

On 5 Oct 2008, new Raipur Capital area, which was in infancy at that time was visited.Road construction works were in progress.
During this visit, more than 100/120 birds were seen in vill- residential areas, in flight, perched etc.

Airport was visted many times in last 15 yrs and every time sparrows were seen in varying numbers.
On 17 Sept 2008, about 60/70 birds seen in the locality, in small flocks , scattered, overall population should be much more.
