sparrows have made there nest inside a small hole in my house and frequently multiply there. i often help there children hiding from cats.every day we put some grains and water near there nest and they all enjoy that.

We moved to a colony with apartments and are currently staying on the 6th floor of a building. We also bought a sparrow nest from Nature Forever and feeding/perching stand hoping to see some sparrows. But sadly, till now, 4 years later, no sparrows. There are many pigeons, parrots, mynas, crows, eagles, wood-peckers, wood pigeons. But no sparrows.

i have been living here since 1986. Until recently, there were many sparrows near my house and in the colony, often disturbing the otherwise silent afternoons with their cacophony. However, over the last 2 years, the numbers have noticeably reduced. Once where there were nests of sparrows on trees and even in our balcony, now rarely a sparrows nest can be seen. In contrast, the parrot and the pigeons have relatively increased. Also several other bird species, which otherwise were spotted occasionally are now seen frequently

I saw only 2 House Sparrows during this time period at different times of the year (a female and a male). Sparrows have declined drastically from 2000 - 2012 and now we have no sparrows left in our campus though many other common and migratory birds visit, nest and live in our green school. But the presence of these birds has also reduced due to growth in infrastructure and vehicles. I only hope we find a solution to this problem and increase the number of sparrows...
