There was a large bouganilla plant that used to be full of sparrows one could hear them chirping every morning and evening and lots of bird droppings also.

i live in a very old and sprawling house and there is ample space for the birds to make nests esp. fan cups, the ceiling,etc. they even try to make their nests in concrete walls.a few years back they had made their nest in my bedroom wall and a snake came from the roof ( it is a mangalore tiled roof to eat their chicks.

I live in a 10 yr old building but have old buildings around . I keep rice and water for the sparrows everyday and the other society members are giving jowar so many birds are seen here but less than what we saw 8 yrs back. I have tried many tricks so that they would make a nest in my balcony but our building has a covered drainage pipe area so they build their nest there and am happy as they are safe there from the predators.I would be happy to contribute in any way to save this chirpy birds.
