I got a bird feeder and a wooden nest for sparrows from an organisation Pakshi Mitra, after noticing that the number of sparrows in the area was average. Though no sparrow has taken shelter in the wooden nest, the feeder has got quite a response, the number increased from 2 to 6-7 regular sparrows who come almost everyday to eat the grains. There are also quite a good number of sparrows in the adjacent society which has a structure for the sparrows to build their nests in the building crevices and also a ground for them to roll over in mud.

There are group of Sparrows inside Bangalore International Airport, Near The Boarding gates there are restaurants, Sparrows are found near/inside the restaurant.
They feed on the food left overs of the passengers.
These sparrows are very much audible.

Undeveloped Park Sector 33A Noida Uttar Pradesh
On 18 Sept 2010 a big flock of sparrows was seen in the park of this undeveloped Sector 33A of Noida. They were seen picking seeds from the grass on the ground and as I came close, all of them took to wings in unison with a great whooshing sound. Luckily I was carrying a small camera and could get one good shot of so many birds in flight against blue sky. Soon they settled on nearby ziziphus trees in 3-4 groups.

in my private garden i have fixed metal grilled on my windows and meshed it with steel mosquito nets sparrows nest are at five feet distance privacy between us with several bird-feeders and water bowls a plenty it has brought me immense good luck other species i do not khow their names sometimes accepts water shower when i water my garden have presence of peacock tail sparrow nest securedly placed within hand touching distance HAWKS LANDS TO QUENCH THEIRS THIRST IN ONE BOWL AND AT DISTANCE A PEGION IS LEISURELY IN A DIFFERENT BOWL ITS LIKE WATHCHING NATIONAL GEOGRAPHY LIVE IN MUMBAI CITY IN PRESENT TIME
