I often get off at this metro station to get on my way home. If the sun is still out i am sure to see sparrows in this area and they are plenty in number. there are bird seeds always lying around in this area and they are frequently surrounded by birds of all types and always there are sparrows present. i was even fortunate enough to see a breeding pair in what seemed to be there nest. i would love to send you a photo.

Malay Khasnavis - Kamdhenu Apartment, Sector 9, Rohini Delhi Razapur, Rohini New Delhi Delhi

I live on the 7th floor of an apartment. Me and my family are Bird and Animal lovers. Every morning we have a mix of birds comprising of a Pair of Maina, A pair of Bulbul , A pair of Squirrel, some 4-6 sparrows visit our balcony with out fail. The Maina's announce their arrival around 6.30 am every morning, regardless of Saturday, Sunday or National Holidays, through vociferous noice and then wait silently to their share of Breakfast, which can be any thing from Tiger biscuits, to Bikeneri Aloo Bbujia to Cooked rice or raw rice, not to talk of noodles, which they relish of all.The arrival of the Pair of Mainas brings the group of sparrows and a pair of Bulbul. Once they are gone for a while the squirrel arrives to mop and clean up what ever is left behing. This goes on till 10-10.30 and then there is a luss for a while. The Maina's return around 2 -2.30 PM , its lunch time - no matter what we eat- they have their share along with the sparrows. Interestingly, our monthly grocery list finds a place for Tiger Biscuits with out a fail which is specifically meant for the birds. That is how the days go by, but the timing is mathematical and can be verified by a visit. Tomorrow onwards, I will try capturing some photos on my mobile and share with viewers Regards. Malay

Swati Negi - tili hospital tili area Sagar Madhya Pradesh

Sagar is a peaceful and clean town in located in Madhya Pradesh,India. It has been my home town n i lived my school life there. My Love for sparrws was since childhood.Being kiddish i use to love admiring birds in my childhood days. Its the story of my summer vacation. At the the corner of our ceiling behind a wall painting which stood little slanted to the wall against the support of a window a beautiful sparrow couple built a nest. After few days we noticed the there little ones started chirruping. They started drawing our atention. One day whin my parents were out I tried to pick one of the chick in excitemnt just to see that how they look. That usd to be naughty activities of mine.Although I replaced it back within no time I really loved those chiks in my hands and they remained a great experience till date. The soft cozy little little sparows.Days passed and monsoon arrived aftr few months sparrows left there nest. After completing my schooling when I migrated to Indore for my further education,I found no or rarely any sparrow here and I really missed them.Later I realised that it has alrady vanished from big towns
Although it has been more then 10 yrs of this incident but I still rmember my summer vacations. Now when I see sparrows decling from cities I feel really concerned about them.Species which are on the verge of getting decline are drwaing attention. From one of my manager I came to knew that one of the cause is increase in the number of telecom towers all over the cities whose signal reduces the lfe of birds. Many countries have agreed to adopt "Green technology" and India is also among one of them to save nature. Our effort can save this B'ful creature of God ..So come forward and participate is such events which works for conserving bords otherwise only their pictures will remain to show your children and narrate story starting as "Once upon a time there used to be a creature called "Sparrow".......and so on
