Prior to two years from reporting, there were large number of Sparrows visiting our balcony and used to feed on the tender plant shoots and other grains. But now a days they are seen occasionally in the Metro Station platform. I have also noticed few nests inside the Metro station. However, i feel thy are less frequent visitors to our home than they used to do two years back.

BEING AN AVID BIRDWATCHER, I LIKE TO SPOT BIRDS IN THE GARDEN OF OUR SOCIETY. AS MY GRANDMAOTHER HAS A HABIT OF FEEDING BIRDS WITH WHEAT GRAIN, I AM THANKFUL TO HER FOR MAKING MY CHILDHOOD SPECIAL.STILL, WHENEVER I GO BACK HOME FROM DELHI, I AM ABLE TO SPOT THE SPARROWS NEAR MY HOME.:)

I was around 12 years old and alwasys had sparrows in my house and every where around the houses and even in bus station. i developed fasination towards this bird and always use to observe them. we had agriculatural lands and we used to get paddy(rice)grains through out the year. these birds used to feed on the paddy grains and lived and built their own nest in our house. i always have very good memories of these birds activities and i miss them now. There was a local belief that we shouldnot chase them out of the house premises as they bring prosperity and good luck to the house.........
