I live in this area for 7 yrs.I have kept 'birdbath bowl'where sparrows drink and take bath regularly.Other 5 types of birds do the same.I have installed bird house in gallary. First 3 years it was not occupied but next year sparrows built nest in that house and had 4 chicks, 4 times in a year.Again last 3 years it is not occupied.I have sequence of snaps of nest,eggs and chicks.In our society more than 50 sparrows are seen.They nest above tube lights in staicase area.In 2005 I listed 27 species of birds but now only 10 are seen.

Presently, the female sparrows are nesting in the kitchen duct. The male sparrows are chirping continously and keeping guard,the females together with their male partners used to come to my window sill for food two weeks back.One female is a little different, used to wait at the window, look at me through the glass, I think she recognised me.I observed their preparation for their nesting - flying from the ground floor and surrounding with their nesting material to above the fourth floor they even used parts of my new broom. Their dedication to this process is just beautiful .They are safe in the duct now,I am eagerly waiting to see them and their babies. There are two regular families, they have smartly shooed the pigeons away from this floor.Besides these, I see at least more than a dozen sparrows in the immediate vicinity

I live in Wasudeo Nagar area and I see sparrows everyday. They come in to my house through windows. My family members offer them food and water also. Sparrows make nests in the vicinity and in my building also.

have few trees outside my home and that's the place where I see sparrows even I was wondering few months back about there disappearance as the chirping is less often and what I feel is now a days the new architecture of houses doesn't have space for such trees that's why there are so less trees n sparrows.our house is an old one so we still have trees. On the back lane there's another a very big tree and there are many sparrows too there.until 2005 there were so many sparrows n their nests in our trees but with time the number has reduced.I miss the chirping. thank you for giving me this opportunity.
