The sparrows are disturbed by the huge number of crows and kites. This crows and kites are a plague. This big birds also bother the other small birds, like king fisher, coppersmith barbet etc.
There is not anymore any balance and the crows should be controlled.

7 years back there were more than 200 birds nesting on trees near the bsnl tower now there are only 3 birds seen one male two female

Usually my son like birds and so in the morning the birds will come and sit on the gates, trees, pick grains and dry twigs.
They have in fact made nest in the trees.
They will come in pairs sit and fly around and I used to watch them.
when I see them I remember Bible verse Mathew 10:29
Are not two sparrows sold for a cent? And yet not one of them will fall to the ground apart from your Father.

My mother had put shoe box and small mataka as a nests,
that attracts sparrows.Since last year sparrows were living in those nests. As I have observed pegions attacks on their nests for some unspecified reasons. so, I guess now a days
no regular stay of the sparrows in the nests.

Saidapet , a residential area. Very few sparrows, too many crows. Suriyammapet, Saidapet Chennai Tamil Nadu
There are too many crows in this area. So sparrows hardly visit. Only for few months in a year we can spot sparrows. Since March, they have started visiting. Mostly in early mornings.
