earlier we had parijat flower plant. lot of sparow use to be on it. sparrow like this plant may be due to its structure. at panvel i see lot of sparrow on this plant.

Well I don't have much idea but everyday one or two sparrows comes on my house terrace in the morning and chirps beautifully, so there might be a nest in nearby area I haven't seen any though coz I recently moved here and saw one or two sparrow quite exciting to see them coz In my last residential area there were none inspite of being greeny area

In My School and Collage period(1990-2000) ,I saw lots of sparrows in my area.built nest in tree and water well holes.we feed the rice,pulses regularly.
after the year 2002,we saw only few birds.
lots of environment pollution and wireless communication may affect the tiny birds.

The sparrows though had become very rare to spot have now become slightly more frequent in same area and that one tree is still occupied by sparrows.

Yes there is one tree in Sagar darshan building where sparrows are still abundant They frequently used to enter our houses or sit on windows but now very rarely.
we have seen crows threatening them or trying to scare them which we believe is the main reason they have diminished. Also the number of crows in the same time period has grown tremendously.
